After kidnappers with weapons tried to remove him from his apartment in Baghdad.

Reportedly, his body was taken out of the apartment. However, Reuters reports that other sources say he was slain while driving his SUV.

This individual alleges that he and his wife were walking down al- Sinaa Street when a gunman tried to kidnap them but was eventually shot after a struggle.

According to a police source, the victim’s identification card clearly indicated that he was an English professor.

Reports have him working for both Doctors Without Borders and the United States Agency for International Development.
