Dr. Constantine Toumbis, MD – Crystal River, FL

Dr. Constantine Toumbis started his career with a BA in biology from New York University. He went on to achieve an MS in natural sciences and then a PhD in experimental pathology from Roswell Park Graduate Division of Science at the State University of New York. Dr. Constantine Toumbis earned his MD with distinction in biomedical research from Wayne State University in Detroit.

From there, he followed an interest in spine surgery as an intern at the University of Florida Department of Surgery, a resident at the University of Florida Department of Orthopedics, and a fellow in spine surgery at the Cleveland Clinic Florida. He spent 10 years as a spine surgeon at the Citrus Orthopaedic and Joint Institute in Lecanto, Florida, and at Citrus Memorial Hospital, where he still works.

Today, Dr. Constantine Toumbis has a private practice as a spine surgeon at Citrus Spine Institute in Crystal River, Florida. He has been named “Top Doctor” several years in a row by Castle Connolly Medical and the US News and World Report.
