Donna Dixon was born in Alexandria, Virginia on July 20, 1957. Although the identity of her mother has not yet been revealed, her father is Earl Dixon and he owned a Hillbilly Heaven, a nightclub located in the United States of America.
In terms of education, Donna Dixon became a graduate of Groveton High School in 1975. She then gained admission into George Washington University. However, she never completed her higher education, as she dropped out to pursue a career in showbiz. The reason for the move is that she started modeling while in college, which led to her auditioning to compete in beauty pageants. Quickly, Dixon won the title of Miss Virginia USA in 1976 as well as the world title of Miss Washington DC in 1977.
After achieving the coveted beauty queen in the early 90s, she used her newfound fame to make inroads in Hollywood as an actress. One of her early films was shot alongside veteran Hollywood actor Tom Hanks in the movie titled Bosom buddies, where she played the role of Sonny Lumet.

Donna Dixon is a happily married woman. She married her man, Daniel Edward Aykroyd, on April 9, 1983. Daniel is an American-Canadian filmmaker, actor, comedian, and musician. He was born on July 1, 1952 in Ottawa, Canada. His mother, Lorraine Hélène, was a secretary, while his father, Samuel Cuthbert Peter Hugh Aykroyd, was a civil engineer who once served as a political adviser to former Canadian Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau.
He was also born with the condition called syndactyly, in his case webbed toes. This condition was made public in the Saturday Night Live short titled Don’t Look Back in Anger, as well as the movie, Mr. Mike’s Mondo Video. Being raised in a Catholic family, he wanted to become a priest until he was 17, when he focused on showbiz.
Prior to meeting Donna, he was previously engaged to popular actress Carrie Fisher, but their engagement did not marry. Donna Dixon and Daniel, however, began their relationship after they met on the set of the movie, Doctor Detroit. After dating for a year, they made it official and were together for over 34 years in marriage and are still going strong. Over the years, the couple have linked up very well with each other’s careers until appearing in several films. Donna Dixon and Aykroyd are blessed with three wonderful daughters. Interestingly, their very first child took six years to arrive. Her name is Danielle Alexandra Aykroyd and she was born on November 18, 1989. Belle Kingston Aykroyd, the couple’s second child, was born on June 9, 1993, while their third daughter, Stella Irene Aykroyd, was born on April 5, 1988.
Donna Dixon retired from acting in 1997. She and her husband, Aykroyd, both own a house in Loughborough Lake, Sydenham, due to Aykroyd’s desire to maintain stable ties with his home country.
