Swedish actor, director, and martial artist Dolph Lundgren does not have a Ph.D.

Dolph Lundgren received a Fulbright scholarship to pursue his PhD in Chemical Engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) but he failed to attend.

Instead, Lundgren moved to New York City to be with Grace Jones and to start acting, where he got a small debut role as a KGB henchman in the James Bond film A View to a Kill after a brief stint as a model and bouncer at the Manhattan nightclub The Limelight.

Although he does not have a PhD, he has a master’s and bachelor’s degree. He received a degree in chemical engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden.

Lundgren also holds a master’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Sydney in Australia. Despite his successful acting career, he has maintained an interest in science and has even worked on various engineering projects throughout his life.
