Derek Dallas Carr, an American football quarterback with the National Football League’s Las Vegas Raiders, was born on March 28, 1991. (NFL). He was drafted in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Raiders after playing college football at Fresno State, where he was twice named first-team All-MWC.

Carr, a three-time Pro Bowl selection, helped the Raiders reach the playoffs for the first time since 2002 during the 2016 season. In 2021, he will lead Las Vegas to another postseason appearance.

Carr was selected by the Oakland Raiders in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft with the 36th overall pick. He was the fourth quarterback to be selected that year.  On May 16, he was assigned his requested number of 4. On May 21, he was signed to a four-year, $5.37 million contract with a $2.2 million signing bonus.
