When Cullen Bohannon eats dinner at her family’s home, Naomi spends most of the meal staring at him. Later in the barn, she has a liaison with Bohannon, though this is cut short when they hear noise outside.
This week’s ‘ Hell On Wheels ‘ found Cullen Bohannon (Anson Mount) returning to the Hatch residence for his wife and son. Unfortunately for him it was not the happy reunion that he was hoping for. Hell On Wheels proved once again that Cullen Bohannon just can’t catch a break.
Naomi might be Cullen’s wife and William his son, but he’s been busy. Isaac has been there. Is it even within Bohannon’s character to settle down for any reason?
His family was slaughtered during the Civil War, and Bohannon sought revenge, moving him out west and introducing him to the Union Pacific Railroad. Cullen was born in 1826 and grew up in Meridian, Mississippi.
Who is Naomi Bohannon?
Naomi Bohannon. Naomi Bohannon, born Hatch, is a young Mormon woman who lives in Nebraska with her family. She later became the second wife of Cullen Bohannon after he discovered that she was pregnant with his child.
Naomi was originally played by Siobhan Williams. MacKenzie Porter was recast as Naomi for Season 4, due to Williams’ scheduling conflicts after she joined the cast of ABC’s Black Box .

Though her father was incredibly angry at this turn of events, she never says that she was forced. She accepts his offer of marriage, citing it as God’s plan. On their wedding night, there is an uneasiness between her and Bohannon. She inquires about Bohannon’s past marriage, to which he replies, “That’s personal.”.
What does Naomi say to Fong?
Naomi gives him what is essentially a goodbye kiss and tells him that she hopes he finds love. It kind of felt like she poured salt in the wound. After that he leaves Salt Lake City and makes his way back to the railroad. Once he’s back Fong/Mei (Angela Zhou) finds him and they take comfort in each other.
A still recovering Cullen returns to the Hatch residence and it is clear that no one expected him to come back. Naomi (Mackenzie Porter) tells him that she’s moved on and that she didn’t know that he had spent months looking for her and their son. Cullen tells her a little bit about all the things that he went through to find her and William but it’s not going to change her mind. Cullen being the kind of man that he is still offers to get them back to Salt Lake City safely.
What does Cullen see in the Indian’s shoulder?
Cullen sees a gaping hole in the Indian’s shoulder, and the Indian sees Cullen’s wound as well. Then he looks at Bohannon’s horse. Bohannon notes this, slowly replaces his hat, mounts the horse and rides off. There is no threat, only empathy and understanding.

Then Isaac challenges Bohannon with terse words – offers him the last biscuit – says he’s getting the royal treatment with Naomi’s apple pie.
Hell on Wheels — Byron Mann as Chang Chris Large/AMC. Bohannon and the others make it to Salt Lake and Brigham. Mr. Young is not happy to see any of them, but Cullen tells him The Swede is hanged, and it changes his attitude.
Naomi insists he stay the night. He agrees to stay in the barn. He acknowledges William before he heads out, but William barely looks at his father. It stings. Outside, Cullen prepares to bed down, but the horses are disturbed and like a reflex, Cullen is ready for the worst.
