Born Dmitry Arkadievich Mazepin in 1968, in Minsk, he is the owner of Uralchem, a mineral fertilizer company. Having graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, Mazepin worked in petrochemical companies, such as TNK, where he served as Vice-President, and Sibur Holding, where he was a Chairman. Furthermore, he was a Vice-Chairman of the Russian Federal Property Fund. In 2004, he founded his company, and brought shares in chemical plants. Few years later, Mazepin merged his assets into Uralchem. He has also been involved in politics, and has become a representative of Putin’s United Russia Party in the Kirov region.
