The veteran DJ for “The Ellen DeGeneres Show,” Stephen “tWitch” Boss, passed away. He was 40.
In a statement to PEOPLE, Boss’ wife Allison Holker Boss announced his passing.
“Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans,” she stated.
“Stephen, we love you, we miss you, and I will always save the last dance for you,” she said as she put an end to her eulogy.
Boss’ demise was also corroborated by a report from the Los Angeles County medical examiner, however the report omitted a cause of death.
TMZ claims that Boss committed suicide. According to TMZ, which cited law enforcement sources, he was reportedly discovered dead in a Los Angeles hotel on Tuesday from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Boss finished second in “So You Think You Can Dance” season 4 in 2008. He began appearing on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” in 2014, and remained a crucial element of the program until its conclusion in 2022.
