In Houston County, a tragic motorcycle accident is being looked into.
A Harley-Davidson motorbike, a Jeep Compass, and a semi-tractor trailer were all involved in the collision, according to a report given by the Georgia State Patrol.
It was found that the motorbike had been moving at a high speed before to the collision based on witness accounts and evidence found on the road.
The motorcycle slid for several hundred feet when the driver lost control of the vehicle and flipped it over. The motorcycle eventually came to a stop in the middle lane of the northbound side of I-75. The biker was struck by an unidentified tractor-trailer shortly after stopping. The tractor-trailer’s operator fled the site of the collision by failing to stop and proceeding southbound on the highway.
The biker was also struck by the Jeep Compass at the same time; as a result of the collision, the driver pulled over to the side of I-75. Christopher Ryan Bostwick, a resident of Locust Grove, has been identified as the Harley-Davidson motorcycle’s rider.
Emergency personnel pronounced Bostwick deceased at the scene.
Due to the collision, the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 had to be shut down for almost two and a half hours in order to help with the investigation and collect the debris.
Authorities are actively looking into the event in an effort to find and identify the hit-and-run driver who killed Christopher Ryan Bostwick.

Investigators are urging any witnesses or people with information about the collision to come forward and help.
