Christian Helger who is a university of New Hampshire graduate has been disclosed dead after he was expelled from a ski lift chair at Park City Mountain in Utah

On January 2, Christian Helger, 29, of Millcreek, Utah, plummeted into a ravine after a pine tree crashed across the cable of his ski lift, causing his chair to go up and down vertically. Investigators in Summit County think the tree struck the cable behind the man’s seat.

Helger was found unresponsive, the administration said. Park City Mountain Ski Patrol tried unsuccessful lifesaving measures but did not prevail. Helger was a member of the ski patrol himself, according to authorities.
