Isla Lang Fisher is an Australian actress and author who rose to prominence for her portrayal of Shannon Reed on the Australian soap opera Home and Away from 1994–97, for which she received two Logie Award nominations.
Isla was born on 3 February 1976 in Muscat, Oman, to parents Elspeth Reid and Brian Fisher who hail from Scotland.
Who Is Brian Fisher?
Isla’s father was working as a banker in Oman for the United Nations at the time she was born.
When Isla turned six years, her family returned to their hometown of Bathgate, Scotland, then moved to Perth, Western Australia.
Isla has four brothers, and said that she had a “great” upbringing in Perth with a “very outdoorsy life”.
Isla’s mother and siblings live in Athens, Greece, while her father lives in Frankfurt, Germany. Isla’s mother and father are now divorced.
In 2011, Isla proudly smiled for the cameras alongside her dad Brian Fisher at the Berlin premiere of her animated movie Rango.
