Robert Francis George (born 16 December 1945) is a darts player and broadcaster from England. He is generally regarded as one of the game’s most charismatic figures, best known for his extravagant entrances, in which the “King of Darts” enters the stage encrusted with jewels, wearing a crown and robe, and carrying a candelabra to the tune of Queen’s “We Are the Champions.” George was the first full-time exhibition player and won many major darts events. He also participated in two World Championship finals. He has also worked for the BBC since 1998 as a co-presenter and sport promoter during their coverage of different darts events.
