Aspiring NFL Player Daniel Worthy Died in Deadly Car Accident

Daniel Worthy, 22, was driving a 2007 BMW in the 500 block of Dual Highway around 9:45 p.m. when the vehicle drifted towards the south side of the road and struck a tree.

Worthy was taken to Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, where he was subsequently pronounced dead.

The 22-year-old female passenger, who was also sent to Meritus with non-life-threatening injuries, was not identified by the police.

An accident reconstructionist is looking into what occurred, according to the police.
