Russian-Canadian professional boxer Artur Asilbekovich Beterbiev was born on January 21, 1985.

He has held the IBF championship since 2017, the WBC title since 2019, and the WBO belt since 2022, making him the undisputed light heavyweight champion.

Beterbiev competed as an amateur and earned medals in the light-heavyweight class at the 2007 World Championships, 2008 World Cup, 2009 World Championships, 2006 European Championships, and 2010 European Championships. In the heavyweight division at the 2012 Olympics, he also advanced to the quarterfinals.
