In New York, the Supreme Court’s First Judicial District is presided over by Judge Arthur F. Engoron.
In 2023, Judge Engoron presided over a civil fraud case brought by Letitia James, the attorney general of New York, against Donald Trump.
He found that Trump committed fraud in September 2023 when he inflated the value of real estate assets to get lower insurance and loan rates. As a result, several of Trump’s company licenses were revoked.
The outcome of the trial will determine whether Trump is subject to severe monetary fines and a probable exclusion from office as an officer or director of New York corporations.
Actually, Arthur is a Democrat. At different law firms, including Olwine, Connelly, Chase, O’Donnell & Weyher and Pryor, Cashman, Sherman & Flynn, Engoron started his legal career as an associate.
According to his profile on the Wheatley alumni page, he has four children and has been married three times.
However, Daniel Engoron who happens to be a lawyer and works for the New York City Law Department and Stacey Engoron, teacher, have been documented as his children.
His other two remain a mystery.
