TR Wright Fraud Charges Explored 

On December 7, 2017, TR Wright pleaded guilty to the charges. According to a court press release, he was sentenced in federal court on October 4.

According to information presented in court, Wright led a multijurisdictional fraud and arson scheme that stretched through Hawaii to the Gulf of Mexico and include the destruction of luxury goods such as vehicles, aircraft, and water vessels news release.

Wright and his co-conspirators, Shane Gordon, 46, of Houston, Raymond Fosdick, 42, of Honolulu, and Edward Delima, 42, of Honolulu, purchased luxury items and obtained insurance coverage for them in amounts more significant than the purchase prices.

Wright and his associates then devised and carried out plans to destroy the goods and defraud insurance companies.

According to the criminal case judgment, Wright was ordered to pay restitution of more than $169,000 to State Farm, $440,000 jointly and severally with Fosdick and Gordon to Catlin Insurance, $184,000 jointly and severally with Fosdick to Old Republic Aerospace Inc. 

Moreover, he was also ordered to pay $195,000 jointly and severally with Delima to Progressive Insurance.

He was sentenced to five years and five months in prison after pleading guilty to wire fraud conspiracy and arson conspiracy in December 2017. TR, on the other hand, was quickly released from jail. He was only imprisoned for three years.
