Amber Cribbs Found Dead in Bedroom & 2-Year-Old Child Found Locked in Bathroom

On Sunday morning, a local mother was discovered dead in a bedroom, and her two-year-old daughter was found trapped in the bathroom.

Officers from the Shenango Township Police Department responded to a residence on Prospect Street in South New Castle Borough, Lawrence County, at around 10:44 a.m. on Sunday, December 11, for a welfare check, according to state police in New Castle.

According to police, New Castle resident Amber Cribbs, 39, was discovered dead in the bedroom while their two-year-old daughter was found trapped in the bathroom with their dog.

According to police, PSP New Castle was asked to undertake the investigation by the Shenango Township Police Department.

Multiple drug-related objects and drug paraphernalia were found at the scene, therefore a partial Major Case Team activation was started to look into the death.
