Beyond the field of fashion, Amanda Dudamel makes significant contributions. She works as the creative director for the accessories brand Made in Petare, which aims to earn money for the “Un Par Por Un Sueo” nonprofit.
The company creates and sells products to help fund the foundation’s activities, which involve feeding more than 1000 kids every day in several dining areas in Petare, the largest neighborhood in Latin America.
Moms are also involved in the process because the company offers them training and work opportunities that will help them become more self-sufficient and able to support their families. The business also arranges family-friendly events.
Amanda won the Miss Venezuela 2021 competition on October 28, 2021, following an outstanding performance.
She proudly carries on the tradition of two previous Miss Venezuelas from Mérida, Ana Griselda Vegas, who won the title in 1961, and Stefania Fernández, who took home the crown in 2008 before going on to win Miss Universe in 2009.
On November 18, 2021, Amanda made her fashion design debut in Venezuela during the launch of her clothing brand, REBORN THE BRAND. In January 2022, she was featured in a Drene hair care product commercial.
Later, on May 24, 2022, she took part in a runway presentation for the spring/summer “Canto a Caracas” (I sing to Caracas) collection created by Venezuelan fashion designer Giovanni Scutaro.

The mother of Amanda is fifty years old and was born in Mérida. She is the daughter of Elda Torres de Newman and engineer Albino Newman.
The mother of Amanda Dudamel participated in beauty pageants herself. In a Spanish-language interview with People magazine, Amanda stated, “My mom was a beauty queen in my hometown of Mérida when she was around 19 or 20 years old. Her greatest desire was to compete in Miss Venezuela, and tonight we have both fulfilled it.
The Newman family hails from Pueblos del Sur, which is situated in the southern portion of the state of Mérida and in the Andes region, notably in the picturesque highlands of Santa Bella in Mucuchach. Due to its untamed environment and residents’ disengagement from modernity, the region acquired its name.
In Santiago, Chile, Amanda Dudamel’s mother had worked as a real estate salesperson for a global corporation. She is presently a sales consultant for a funeral home and lives in Chile. She also has a deep interest for cycling, which she has shared with her children.
