A Tennessee teen who sustained a life-threatening injury during Friday’s storms was set to donate her organs on Sunday.
Aleya Brooks allegedly sustained a traumatic brain injury after a tree collapsed on her, according to Liberty Creek High School.
According to Aleya Brooks’ father, Jason Brooks, the tree struck her as she was assisting her family in cleaning up detritus from their driveway.
At the hospital, it was discovered that Jason Brooks’ daughter, who is also a cheerleader at her school, had numerous facial and head fractures in addition to significant brain bleeding.
