Alan Massengale was an American Sports anchor who died on Saturday, March 12, 2022.

His former TV station confirmed his death to the world and tributes have been pouring out on all social media platforms since.

Massengale went to The university of Georgia and was named a 2022 Fellow at his alma mater’s journalism department.

Massengale worked for Fox Sports, KCBS, and KCAL 9 in Los Angeles.

Massengale was the inaugural host of CBSLA’s Sports Central show at KCBS.

He was also a big boxing enthusiast who used to work ringside during contests.

He was 63 years of age.

He died from colon cancer.

During his battle with the illness, he was being placed on life support.

He once fell causing bleeding in his brain as well.

Following his cancer diagnosis in 2015, Massengale became a champion for colonoscopies, urging his fans to obtain the preventative screenings.
