He and his fellow draftee and teammate Rob Gronkowski, one of the league's most dominant tight-end duos, became the first pair to score five touchdowns each in consecutive seasons for the same team. From the time he lost his father suddenly at the age of 16, Aaron Hernandez had been involved in several violent incidents, including battery, illegal possession of guns, shooting and murder. While most of his legal issues were settled out of court, he was arrested for the murder of Odin Lloyd in June 2013 and was found guilty of first-degree murder in April 2015.
